Matt & Dana - October 10, 2020 | Aberfoyle Mill | Aberfoyle, ON | with Simply Wedding Photography

Two weddings in a day is not a normal thing for me. I can imagine that even less rare is two that are so intimate and humbling to be involved in. Sometimes people run into each other for a reason and the smallest connections are found.

As I am waiting for guests to arrive, I was talking to the Minister who I figured out was from New Brunswick (I could hear a bit of an accident so I inquired).  I said my family was from Cape Breton.  The Groom then proceeds to tell me that Dana (the Bride) is from New Waterford, NS - a very (VERY) small coal mining town outside of Sydney.  Low and behold - so is my family! We have yet to figure out who knows who - but its got to be there somewhere - Ill have to ask my mother, lol!

I digress. It was SO overcast as I waited, gathering photos of guests as they came in with their masks ready to go. Then, there was Dana.  The ceremony was beautiful amongst the fall colours outside and no one cared that it was spitting (almost to the point of steady rain). Lucky for us the rain cleared up as the ceremony ended and we were still able to do photos on the beautiful grounds at the Aberfoyle Mill.

Never have I been to a venue that was so large outdoors, but felt so intimate and cozy.  I couldn't be happier for Dana and Matt as they hold hands walking into the sunset :)
